Southern Living Magazines 1980-1989 - East Texas is a child of the old south, but with enhancements by very high type native Caddoan indians plus Spanish and Mexican immigrants who greatly influenced its culinary. the majority of its anglo immigrants were pioneers from Georgia, Alabama, Kentucky and Tennessee, so east Texas cookery is also southern cookery, to a large extent. no one presents southern recipes any better than Southern Living magazine. They publish an annual volume with all the recipes that they printed for the entire year. These books are beautifully printed with lots of gorgeous pictures and are collectors items.
