American Legend - INSERT TITLE OF BOOK Everything has to start at some point in history. To give only one example: The first lumber to build buildings was logs "chinked" with mud and grass. Later lengths of trees were split by hand into rough boards and hand planed, and finally lakes were built so that water wheels could be built below them and the backed up water used to run these great wheels that powered up and down saws to cut the rough boards. And finally, the great steam driven saw mills with their fast circular saws were built and begin turning out millions of board feet of East Texas lumber. The first ice cream, the first electricity, the first cars and telephones, and the firsts of everything are given-this is a very interesting read.
